In case anyone in Madison was sleeping at 2:00 a.m. Monday night, this is what you missed. Quite an entertaining lightning show.

And yes, everyone, the second clip is a reflection of a strike in the camera lens, not a shot of an actual strike. It was too quick to realize exactly what happened, so I asked my brother, who shot the video, to edit the clip and slow it down, and then to post them both here. I guess it's not quite as impressive a shot as I had initially thought the first time I saw the raw footage.
