A Message from Stampy
First-class letters will now cost $0.41. I'll bet Lou Nolan is happy. Whenever they raise the postage, people need the little stamps. Also of note: size matters. So does shape, and thickness. Full details from USPS.
The Forever stamps seem like a good idea. I don't know if I'll be buying any, though. I send less than 5 letters a year, and I still have a ton of $0.37 stamps to use up.

Rigidity, too. Uggh.
As someone dealing with this firsthand in a business setting, it has been a less than ideal transition.
Especially annoying were local postal employees' responses to enquiries about rate change details, most to the tune of "Don't even ask. It's going to be a disaster."
Rigidity. I guess that's the important one.
I can't imagine the Post Office employees are real thrilled about all the changes either.
I bought stamps at the university bookstore a few months ago. Doesn't even have a price on them. Says they're first-class...but they were only 39 cents still. I have no idea if they're still good!
If they have a liberty bell on them and say FOREVER, they'll function as first class postage from here forward.
But FOREVER Stamps should've cost you 41 cents up front, so I'd check into getting some makeup stamps.
nope, they've got the american flag and the statue of liberty.
If these are the american flag stamps you describe, they should have cost .41 and will be good. If they look like these, they are the old .39 stamps.
